FORT MYERS RHINOPLASTY (Nose)
Fort Myers rhinoplasty or surgery of the nose is one of the
most common cosmetic surgery procedures.
Fort Myers rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the overall size of
your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow or
widen the nostrils to improve the appearance of the nose and it's
proportion to a person's other facial features.
Reshaping is generally done through incisions inside the nose. The
cosmetic surgeon carefully modifies and reshapes the bones and
cartilage. In some cases there may be an incision across the
central portion of the nose between the nostrils. An internal
deformity of the nose that affects a person's breathing can be
corrected at the same time. Fort Myers rhinoplasty usually takes
about two hours and is performed as an outpatient under general
anesthesia. The nasal packing which is often inserted into the
nose to support the inside is removed within a couple of days.
Bruising and swelling around your eyes will subside within a week.
Medication prescribed by your physician will help with any
discomfort. You can expect to resume normal activities within a
couple of days, but should avoid physical activity for a few
weeks.
After Fort Myers rhinoplasty, it can take several months or even
up to a year for a person's nose to completely settle and heal.
The results of a Fort Myers rhinoplasty procedure are usually
permanent and will last a lifetime.
